People love to have a MOTHER, a WIFE, a SISTER and ofcourse a GIRLFRIEND too …. Then why not a DAUGHTER ? Strange but true. The hand that rocks the cradle, that protects us, feeds us, and enable us to be a great person is a Woman. She links the new generation with the old values and norms and thereby provides the stability and the continuity to the social structure. But such is a tragic irony fate, the beautiful creation a GIRL CHILD is today’s social evil deep rooted in Indian ethos.
India is a country growing dynamically in every field, blooming in economy, innovative technologies with improved infrastructure makes us feel proud being citizen of this country. Inspite of every advancement it made in past few years and still growing more, but bias against a Girl child is still prevailing in the country. The most worst fact is that the technologies through which our country is advanced is used for killing the Girl child. Technologies like Biopsy, Ultrasound, scan test etc. are devised to detect Gender of the Unborn Child. These clinical tests highly contribute to the rise in genocide of Unborn Girl child.
When you kill a GIRL CHILD you kill many others – a MOTHER, a SISTER, a DAUGHTER, a WIFE, a GIRLFRIEND. When there’s no GIRL so no MOTHER it ultimately means no LIFE for continuity of human beings. She is the one who makes the World, but still she struggles to see the Light. She is a goddess to be revered. She is mother earth that sustains the very breath of humanity. How can man even think of killing her in the womb?
In a country where every Indian says “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” (victory for Mother India) must take initiative for Women Empowerment in India, which is one of the tough as well as challenging tasks as we require to acknowledge the point. In India it is one of the long drawn battle against community cultural structural forces that are also against female's development in the society. Even though, everyone knows the fact that woman is as important as water to give birth a baby boy but unfortunately, they get married with a girl; they want baby boy.
